Held the 2nd International Conference on Natural Resources Policy (ICNRP), Discussing Policies Related to Sustainable Natural Resources.
Banjarmasin – In order to strengthen sustainable natural resource management, the Faculty of Law held the 2nd International Conference on Natural Resources Policy (ICNRP) on Saturday (04/11/2023). This event was held in the Multipurpose Building of the Faculty of Law and was attended by the Mayor of Banjarmasin Ibnu Sina and the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Public Relations at ULM Dr. Ir. Yusuf Azis, M.Sc.
This international seminar with the theme “Towards a sustainable environment through better natural resources management, economics, policy and law” was held in a hybrid manner, namely offline and online. The discussion topics discussed at this international seminar include:
1) Environmental Law and Policy (Environmental Law and Policy)
2) Social Sustainability and Community Development (Social Sustainability and Community Development)
3) Environmental Conservation and Management (Environmental Conservation and Management)
4) Sustainable Economy and Environmentally Friendly Business (Sustainable Economy and Green Business)
5) Gender and Environment (Gender and Environment)
6) Climate Change and Adaptation (Climate Change and Adaptation)
7) Development of the New Capital City of Indonesia (IKN)
8) Renewable Energy and Energy Transition (Renewable Energy and Energy Transition)
9) Education and Awareness for Sustainable Development (Education and Awareness for Sustainable Development)
10) Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration
11) Indigenous People, Religion, and Sustainability (Indigenous People, Religions, and Sustainability)
  This seminar presented several resource persons, including academics from ULM itself, namely Prof. Sunardi, S.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D and academics from various international universities such as Nobumuchi Teramura from the University of Sydney, Australia, Prof. Dr. Chm. Azlan bin Kamari from Universiti Pendidikan Sabah, Malaysia, Efrina, S.TP., M.Sc from Kobe University, Japan, and Yusuf Bahtimi from the University of Oxford, England.
Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Public Relations at ULM, Dr. Ir. Yusuf Azis, M.Sc., in an interview said that this event was an international seminar that explained sustainable natural resource policies. This seminar teaches how support related to sustainable natural resources really influences sustainable development in this country, supported by various policies.
“The sustainable development of natural resources through planned management is expected to provide results or income,” he said.
He hopes that this seminar can further stimulate the growth of professors and associate professors within ULM. Through international seminars held, lecturers can contribute in the form of papers which will later be published in journals indexed by Scopus or Web of Science.
